Meet Our Interpretive Guides

Tim Ryan

Tim Ryan is a tribal member of the Salish and Kootenai tribes of the Flathead  Reservation. Tim is also an Archaeologist, Educator and Artist who creates traditional tools and goods using native methods.  Tim and Dave Schwab (mentioned below) also own an archaeological firm called Ethnotech.

Dave Schwab

Dave Schwab is a native Montanan with family roots that go back to the first settlers of the 1800s. With a Masters degree in Anthropology Dave worked as a Montana State Archaeologist for 10 years and Archaeologist for the Tribes for 12 years.

Alger Swingley

Alger Swingley is a member of the Blackfeet tribe of Montana and owner of Blackfeet Outfitters. Alger brings his cultural background and 40 years of experience in fishing, hunting and extended horse packing to his Blackfeet Outfitters treks of 4 days and 3 nights.
